The small but mighty Annenberg-backed research and development wing of KUSC & KDFC explored mobile apps, podcasts, and alternative funding strategies for publicly-funded radio. They needed a look that set them apart from the establishment and communicated their mission of progressive innovation, but while just (barely) landing within the bounds of University of Southern California’s conservative brand guidelines➚.
